TEXT TEAM DARE
Our Head of Program Jasmin Seppälä started her journey at Dare to Learn last year as a volunteer in the project team and ended up leading the whole Volunteer Community. Here are her thoughts on what were the very best things in volunteering + one extra for this year's project team currently in recruitment!
1. Being part of a (not-so-ordinary) team
The thing I like the most about Dare to Learn is that it is a growing community of passionate people. The core of the Team Dare lies in the idea that we create and shape tasks that people enjoy doing. It is essential that everyone gets to do things that really motivate and interest them. A balance of skills and new stuff to learn, if you will.
While we challenge both ourselves and others, we aim at creating experiences of success: tasks must be measured so that everyone has enough time and tools to implement it.
Eventually, we are in this together. There is always someone to ask help from and juggle with ideas.
