The Finnish Universities, as the rest of us, are tackling the challenges of the fast changing world, and they are producing solutions for long as well as short term needs. The Finnish Universities are emphasizing on different leads to ensure quality education to all students studying in Finland and lead the international research. The focus of each university raises from their own strengths and assets as well as global needs.
Rethinking lifelong learning in the big picture doesn’t happen alone. It requires a community and that is why we have teamed up with the eight Finnish Universities to contribute to that change. “Be united for better pedagogy”, stated University of Jyväskylä. Better pedagogy arises from strong unity, a sense of connection and acts to achieve it, they believe. University of Jyväskylä invites you to experience the collaborative way of developing and learning at their workshop.

Should learning be fun?
Yes! Also Lappeenranta University of Technology use their years of experience from different kind of learning environments to offer learnings how to take into account students’ emotions especially in distance learning programme design. Education institutions should support students learning experiences for positive learning outcomes not leaving all the responsibility for students - emphasized at the Lappeenranta University of Technology campus.
Should it be fun for the educators as well?
Again yes! University of Turku and University of Helsinki share their findings on developing pedagogical skills and teacher well-being. They are introducing a research-based HowUTeach self-evaluation tool. Are you ready to reflect your own teaching and well-being, and step up to the next level with your teaching at their workshop?
Still to add, Tampere3 is covering one of the most current topics: Learning & Sustainability. They welcome you to join envisioning how different aspects of sustainable development can be reflected in higher education.
