TEXT TEAM DARE
Only you can take responsibility for your own learning. When we take a magnifying glass and zoom in from the big picture, we are left with individuals. Past countries and organizations and the structures that hold it all together, we are the ones learning.
Sometimes it is better for organizations to stay out of the way. While seminars and trainings have their own role, 90% of learning happens outside organized lessons. This is both good and bad news: Even without investments in big seminars, any organization can master learning. On the other hand, an organization can unintentionally do a disservice to its employees through “wrong” learning and training structures. In such cases, organizational learning and therefore also development are at risk. (More about organizational learning in theme number two) Because of this, it is important for also communities to recognize the personal level of learning.
We are all learning individuals. While it's easy to get lost in academic research, fancy terms and theories, it is also good to remember how natural it is. Knowing what learning techniques work for you is part of understanding yourself. Sharing learning experiences and systems with others can make us all better at it. We help you create those connections!
